Itinerary - Camel Safari Tour
Day 1: Arrive in Delhi
After a late evening arrival at the Delhi airport or railway station, get an assisted transfer to your hotel. Stay overnight.
Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
After breakfast, venture out for visiting the attractions of Old and New Delhi, including Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate, and Parliament House. After lunch, cover attractions like Jama Masjid, Red Fort, and Gandhi memorial. Stay overnight.
Day 3: Delhi – Mandawa (273 kms)
Have your breakfast and begin your road journey to Mandawa. After arrival, check-in at your hotel. After lunch, explore the town of Mandawa and visit the popular painted Havelis and fresco es of the 18th century. Stay overnight.
Day 4: Mandawa - Bikaner (189 kms)
Post breakfast, hit the road to begin your journey towards Bikaner. Once you arrive in Bikaner, check into your hotel. The afternoon is fixed for sightseeing that will include Junagadh fort and the Jain temples, amongst others. The fort, formerly known as Chintamani, was built during the fag end of the 16th century. Stay overnight.
Day 5: Bikaner – Jaisalmer (331 kms)
Morning after breakfast is free for leisure activities. You can enjoy the city atmosphere or visit the local market to shop for souvenirs. In the afternoon, begin your journey towards Jaisalmer, your base for camel safari. Once arrived, complete the check-in formalities at your hotel. Stay overnight.
Day 6: Jaisalmer - Badabagh - Baisakhai - Ramkunda
Have your breakfast and begin your camel safari towards Badabagh. On arrival, visit the royal cenotaphs of Bhatti Rajput Kings. Later, proceed to Baisakhai for lunch and visit a Hindu temple. Continue your safari to Ramkunda, a religious place where you will visit famous Hindu temples. Enjoy the scenic beauty here. Dinner and night stay in tents.
Day 7: Ramkunda - Roopsi - Ludharwa – Chatrayil - Peerwal
After breakfast, begin your safari towards Ludharwa through Roopsi, a village inhabited by people of mixed cast. Halt at Ludharwa for lunch. Ludharwa, the former capital of Bhati Rajput kings, is popular for housing beautiful Jain temples. Continue towards Chatrayil, a traditional Muslim village, and finally reach Peerwal for dinner. Overnight in tents.
Day 8: Peerwal – Salkha - Beri of Kanoi - Sand dunes
Have your breakfast and continue to Salkha, a traditional Rajput village for lunch. Continue to the Sand dunes, crossing Beri of Kanoi, popular for numerous water wells. Arrive at the sand dunes where you will enjoy dinner along with campfire and desert folk music.
Day 9: Sand dunes - Kanoi - Masoordi - Jeseri
In the morning, post breakfast, continue to Masoordi, covering Kanoi, a carpenter village. Stop at Masoori for lunch and later proceed to Jeseri, a water tank surrounded by beautiful scenery. Dinner and overnight stay close to the tank.
Day 10: Jeseri - Kuldhara
Have your breakfast and leave for Deegasar, passing through Dedha, a typical Rajput village. After reaching Deegasar, have lunch and continue towards Kuldhara, an extremely popular tourist attraction known for its well-planned village layout. Overnight camping.
Day 11: Kuldhara - Moolsagar - Amarsagar - Jaisalmer
After breakfast, leave for returning back to Jaisalmer, en-route Moolsagar and Amarsagar. Moolsagar is popular for its paintings and architectural marvels, housing a beautiful Shiva temple. Amarsagar is a lake cum Oasis. Once you reach Jaisalmer, check-in at your hotel. Spend your day doing activities of your interest, relax, or explore the surroundings on foot. Stay overnight.
Day 12: Jaisalmer
After breakfast, the day is booked for sightseeing covering Patwon Ki Haveli, a unique 5-story mansion; Salim Singh Ki Haveli, a beautiful mansion built 300 years ago; Gadi Sagar tank, an oasis; and the Heritage Museum. Stay overnight.
Day 13: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur (265 kms)
After breakfast, begin your road journey towards Jodhpur. Upon arrival, complete the check-in at your hotel. The afternoon is free for relaxation or exploring the city on foot. In the evening, shop at the local bazaar. Stay overnight.
Day 14: Jodhpur Sightseeing
Post breakfast, enjoy local sightseeing of the Blue City. Visit Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in the country, located atop a 410 feet elevated hill. Explore Jaswant Tada, a royal cenotaph built in white marble, and Umaid Bhawan Palace, a major tourist attraction. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 15: Jodhpur – Jaipur (334 kms)
After breakfast, begin your road journey to Jaipur. Check-in at your hotel upon arrival. Have lunch and relax for some time. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities, visit the market or relax in your room. Stay overnight.
Day 16: Jaipur
The first tourist attraction of Jaipur is Amer Fort, where you will enjoy an elephant ride. Post-lunch visits include Hawa Mahal, the Royal Observatory, City Palace, and Johari Bazaar, known for selling all kinds of gemstones. Stay overnight.
Day 17: Jaipur – Delhi (266 kms) - Departure
After breakfast, begin your road journey to Delhi. Upon reaching, check-in at your hotel, get freshened up. After dinner, receive an assisted transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey with UNIT 9 Travels.
