Overview
The Chardham Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage to four of the most revered shrines in India: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, nestled in the majestic Himalayas of Uttarakhand. This profound spiritual journey holds immense significance in Hinduism, symbolizing the path to salvation and spiritual rejuvenation. The pilgrimage begins at Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna River, where devotees offer prayers to Goddess Yamuna and take a dip in the sacred hot springs. The journey continues to Gangotri, the origin of the holy Ganga River. Here, the serene surroundings and the sacred Ganga Aarti create a deeply spiritual ambiance. Next, the Yatra leads to Kedarnath, home to one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. Set against the stunning backdrop of snow-capped peaks, Kedarnath offers a sense of divine connection amidst nature's grandeur. Finally, the journey culminates at Badrinath, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple, surrounded by the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges, exudes spiritual energy and tranquility.
