Day 1: Ahmedabad (Arrival) | Sightseeing in Ahmedabad
Upon your arrival in Ahmedabad, check into the hotel. Later, visit the Gandhi Ashram next to the banks of the River Sabarmati, where Mahatma Gandhi set out on his Dandi March. It has now been converted into a museum. Here you can see the intricate carvings at the Hate Singh Jain Temple and marvel at the grand architecture of the Akshardham Temple. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Day 2: Ahmedabad to Jamnagar (drive) (330 km/approx. 6 hours) | Sightseeing in Jamnagar
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave by road for Jamnagar. On the way, visit the ancient and beautifully carved steep well. In the evening, visit the Bala Hanuman Temple, listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for the perpetual chanting of 'Shri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram' by its devotees since 1964. Stay overnight in Jamnagar.
Day 3: Jamnagar to Dwarka (drive) (150 km/approx. 3 hours) | Sightseeing in Dwarka
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave by road for Dwarka. After checking into the hotel, relax and then proceed for local sightseeing. Visit Dwarkadhish Temple, Nageshwara Jyotirlinga, Bet Dwarka, and Rukmani Temple. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Dwarka.
Day 4: Dwarka to Somnath (drive) (240 km/approx. 5 hours) | Sightseeing in Porbandar and Somnath
In the morning, after breakfast, travel to Somnath. On the way, visit the famous Kirti Mandir in Porbandar, the Haveli where Mahatma Gandhi was born, now a museum. Also, visit the Sudama Temple, built to honor the friendship between Krishna and Sudama. Once in Somnath, visit the Somnath Temple and Bhalka Tirth Temple, where Lord Krishna is said to have been accidentally shot in the foot. Stay overnight in Somnath.
Day 5: Somnath to Gir (drive) (50 km/approx. 1.5 hours) | Jungle safari
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Gir. Known as the only forest reserve in Asia for housing wild Lions, Sasan Gir is famed for Lion sightseeing. Other animal species include Sambhar, Spotted Deer, Nilgai, and the Chausingha (the world's only four-horned antelope). In the afternoon, go for a safari in the National Park. Stay overnight in Gir.
Day 6: Gir to Diu (drive) (110 km/approx. 2 hours)
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Diu, which shall take approximately 2 hours by road. Check in at the hotel in Diu and enjoy the evening free for leisure at the beach. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Diu to Ahmedabad (drive) (415 km/approx. 8 hours) | Depart from Ahmedabad
Post breakfast, leave by road for Ahmedabad, and later continue your journey towards the airport, concluding your memorable journey with UNIT 9 Travels.
