Itinerary - Romantic Kerala Tour
Day 1: Arrival in Cochin – Transfer to Munnar (130 Km/ 4 hrs)
After you arrive at the Cochin railway station or airport, you will meet a UNIT 9 Travels representative who will assist you in getting transferred to Munnar by road. On the way, admire the mesmerizing view of the green tea plantations. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy a leisurely stroll. Night halt at Munnar.
Day 2: Munnar
Post breakfast, get ready for a sightseeing tour of Munnar covering the Tea Museum, Mattupetty Dam, and Echo Point. Later, head to Kundala Lake and dam, which is also the site of Neela Kurunjhi, blooming once in 12 years. In the afternoon, visit Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Rekindle your love while holding hands amidst the scenic beauty.
Day 3: Munnar – Alleppey (150 km / 4 hrs)
Have breakfast and check out, followed by a road transfer to Alleppey, one of the most popular backwater destinations in Kerala. On arrival, head to the jetty and check into the houseboat, locally known as Kettuvallam. Enjoy a full day of backwater exploration on the well-equipped houseboat, complete with a rower and a trained chef. Experience the peace and verdant views around you, spotting colorful birds and local life. This will be one of the most romantic experiences in Kerala.
Day 4: Alleppey - Kovalam (160 km / 4 hrs)
The boat arrives back at the Alleppey jetty. After breakfast, check out and start your road journey to Kovalam, a peaceful beach town. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to indulge in activities of your interest. This place offers a much-needed respite from the city hustle-bustle, allowing you to spend peaceful, romantic moments with your partner. You can also visit one of the many Ayurveda centers for a couple's massage.
Day 5: Kovalam
After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Kovalam. The crescent-shaped Kovalam beach comprises Hawa Beach, Lighthouse Beach, and Samudra Beach, where you can enjoy a stroll and indulge in fun activities. Explore attractions like the old lighthouse, Napier Art Museum, Vellayani Lake, Vizhinjam rock-cut cave temple, and Kovalam Art Gallery. The evening is at leisure for you to relax and enjoy the beach.
Day 6: Kovalam - Trivandrum (15 km / 30 minutes)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and get transferred to Trivandrum for morning sightseeing. Visit popular attractions such as Shri Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Shangumugham Beach, Sri Chitra Art Gallery, and Chowara Beach. You can choose to visit the ones that interest you the most.
