Itinerary - Short Escape to Jaisalmer
Day 1: Jaisalmer Arrival & Drive to Sand Dunes
Upon your arrival at the Jaisalmer railway station/airport, meet the UNIT 9 Travels tour representative who'll assist you to transfer to Sand Dunes, which is approximately 45 Kms from the City Centre. Check in at the Camp and relax. You will enjoy a traditional welcome at the Camp. They also organize a cultural musical dance program in the evening for all guests, followed by a buffet dinner. Overnight stay at Camp.
Day 2: Sand Dunes to Jaisalmer City
Post breakfast, check out from the Camp and proceed to Jaisalmer city, where you will check in at the hotel. Later, you will explore the Golden City. Visit Jaisalmer Fort, nestled amid the golden sands of the Thar Desert, steeped in rich past and heritage. Displaying brilliant craftsmanship, Jaisalmer Fort is one of the most renowned forts in the world. Explore the Jain Temples, a group of beautiful temples within the Jaisalmer Fort walls, featuring carved structures depicting sages, hermits, and animals. Built in the Dilwara style, these temples are dedicated to famous Jain hermits known as 'Tirthankaras'. Visit Gadisar Lake, built in the 14th century, which was once the source of drinking water for the entire town of Bikaner and has now developed into a tourist spot with many temples and shrines surrounding it. Finally, visit Patwon ki Haveli, a cluster of five havelis dipped in an enchanting shade of yellow, built by a wealthy trader for his five sons. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure from Jaisalmer
In the morning, after breakfast, check out of the hotel. Our representative will assist you in driving to Jaisalmer Airport or Railway Station for your onward destination, concluding your memorable trip with UNIT 9 Travels.
