Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar
Arrive in Haridwar by train or road from your location. Check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, witness the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, a mesmerizing ceremony filled with lights and devotion. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
Day 2: Haridwar to Yamunotri
After an early breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti (approximately 210 km), the base for your trek to Yamunotri. Trek about 6 km to Yamunotri, where you will visit the Yamunotri Temple and take a holy dip in the thermal springs. Spend some time soaking in the spiritual atmosphere before trekking back to Janki Chatti. Return to your hotel for the night.
Day 3: Yamunotri to Uttarkashi
Post-breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi (about 200 km). Enjoy scenic views along the way. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up. In the evening, visit the Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Spend the night in Uttarkashi.
Day 4: Uttarkashi to Gangotri
After breakfast, depart for Gangotri (about 100 km). Visit the Gangotri Temple, one of the most revered shrines dedicated to Goddess Ganga. Spend time near the river and soak in the spiritual energy. Afterward, return to Uttarkashi for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Uttarkashi to Kedarnath
Early morning, depart for Gaurikund (about 220 km), the starting point for the Kedarnath trek. From Gaurikund, trek approximately 16 km to Kedarnath, enjoying spectacular views along the way. Upon arrival, visit the Kedarnath Temple, one of the holiest shrines in India. Spend the night in Kedarnath, absorbing the divine atmosphere.
Day 6: Kedarnath to Guptkashi
After an early morning visit to the temple for prayers, trek back to Gaurikund. Upon reaching Gaurikund, drive to Guptkashi (about 30 km). Check into your hotel and relax after the trek. In the evening, visit the Ardhnarishwar Temple and enjoy a peaceful night.
Day 7: Guptkashi to Badrinath
Post breakfast, check out and drive to Badrinath (approximately 190 km). Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up. Visit the Badrinath Temple in the afternoon, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Participate in the evening Aarti ceremony and soak in the spiritual ambiance. Overnight stay in Badrinath.
Day 8: Badrinath Local Sightseeing
Spend the day exploring Badrinath and its surroundings. Visit Mana Village, the last village before the Indo-Tibetan border, and explore the Vyas Gufa (cave). Enjoy views of the Neelkanth Peak and the Alaknanda River. Consider a dip in the Tapt Kund hot springs for rejuvenation. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9: Badrinath to Rudraprayag
After breakfast, check out and drive to Rudraprayag (about 160 km). En route, visit the confluence of the Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Spend the evening relaxing and exploring the local area. Overnight in Rudraprayag.
Day 10: Rudraprayag to Haridwar
After breakfast, drive back to Haridwar (approximately 140 km). Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Spend the day visiting local markets and temples, including the Mansa Devi Temple. Attend a final evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11: Haridwar to Rishikesh
Post breakfast, drive to Rishikesh (about 20 km). Explore this vibrant town known for yoga and spirituality. Visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, and local ashrams. Enjoy lunch at a riverside café and consider participating in a yoga session. Spend the evening relaxing by the Ganges before returning to Haridwar for the night.
Day 12: Departure from Haridwar
After breakfast, check out from your hotel. Depending on your travel plans, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Haridwar.
