Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Katra
Arrive in Katra, the base town for the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage. After settling into your hotel, spend the evening at leisure. Explore local markets and savor traditional cuisine. Prepare for the spiritual journey ahead, resting well for an early start tomorrow.
Day 2: Vaishno Devi Temple
Early morning, begin your trek to the Vaishno Devi Temple, a 13-km journey through scenic trails. Reach the shrine, where you will participate in darshan (viewing) of the divine goddess. Experience the spiritual ambiance and the reverence of thousands of pilgrims. After spending ample time at the temple, trek back to Katra. In the evening, relax and enjoy a restful night at your hotel.
Day 3: Kalka Devi Temple & Jwalaji Temple
After breakfast, travel to the Kalka Devi Temple, located about 30 km from Katra. This ancient temple, dedicated to Goddess Kali, is known for its serene atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. After darshan, head to the Jwalaji Temple, famous for its eternal flames representing the goddess. Explore the temple complex and engage in prayers. Return to Katra for the night.
Day 4: Chhinnamastika Temple & Baglamukhi Temple
Today, visit the Chhinnamastika Temple, approximately 70 km from Katra. This unique temple is known for its powerful energy and is surrounded by beautiful hills. After completing your darshan, proceed to the Baglamukhi Temple, located nearby. Seek blessings from the goddess who embodies knowledge and strength. Return to Katra in the evening for rest and reflection.
Day 5: Kund Devi Temple & Shri Naina Devi Temple
Depart for the Kund Devi Temple, an off-the-beaten-path destination known for its spiritual significance. After darshan, head to the Shri Naina Devi Temple, situated on a hilltop offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Day 6: Shri Chamunda Devi Temple
