Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Manali

Arrive in Manali, where you’ll meet your tour guide and rest for the day in a hotel. Take some time to acclimate and prepare for the days of adventure ahead. In the evening, explore the local market, temples, and Manali’s beautiful surroundings. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 2: Manali to Kaza via Rohtang Pass and Kunzum Pass

After an early breakfast, start the journey with a scenic drive over Rohtang Pass (3,978 meters) to reach the Spiti Valley. As you cross Rohtang, enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and green valleys. Continue toward Kunzum Pass (4,551 meters), where prayer flags flutter in the wind. Descend into the Spiti Valley and reach Kaza by evening. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 3: Kaza - Key Monastery and Kibber Village Excursion

After breakfast, visit Key Monastery, a prominent Tibetan Buddhist monastery with mesmerizing views of the Spiti Valley. Next, head to Kibber Village, one of the highest motorable villages in the world, where you can experience the life of local villagers and enjoy the landscape. Return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Kaza - Hikkim, Komic, and Langza Villages

Today, explore the high-altitude villages around Kaza. Start with Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, where you can send postcards to family and friends. Continue to Komic, one of the highest villages in Asia, known for its Tibetan monastery. End with Langza, famous for its ancient fossils and Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Kaza to Dhankar and Pin Valley

After breakfast, head toward Dhankar Monastery, which is dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the Spiti and Pin rivers. Explore the monastery, and enjoy the sweeping views of the valley below. Afterward, visit the lush Pin Valley, known for its flora, fauna, and stark beauty. Return to Kaza by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 6: Kaza to Nako via Tabo Monastery

Today, travel to Nako, stopping at Tabo Monastery en route. Known as the "Ajanta of the Himalayas," Tabo Monastery is over 1,000 years old and famous for its ancient murals and sculptures. Continue the journey to Nako, a serene village with a beautiful lake. In the evening, explore Nako and enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake. Overnight stay in Nako.

Day 7: Nako to Sangla via Kalpa

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive to Sangla Valley, passing through Kalpa. Kalpa offers stunning views of the Kinnaur Kailash Range, and you’ll have time to explore the local markets and take in the unique architecture. Continue to Sangla, known for its lush valley, apple orchards, and beautiful river views. Check into your hotel or campsite in Sangla. Overnight stay in Sangla.

Day 8: Sangla - Chitkul Excursion and Local Sightseeing

Today, take an excursion to Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border. Explore the village, interact with locals, and enjoy scenic walks by the Baspa River. Return to Sangla and visit Kamru Fort, a historic fort that offers insight into the region’s history and traditions. Overnight stay in Sangla.

Day 9: Sangla to Shimla

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Shimla, passing through lush valleys and scenic mountain roads. Arrive in Shimla by evening, where the safari concludes. Check into your hotel and relax, or take a stroll around Mall Road for a final taste of Himalayan culture.
